Types of Financial Services

Financial services can be of the following types:

  1. Capital Market Services: The term lending institutions usually provides long-term sources of finance and capital as a part of capital market services.
  2. Money Market Services: These are short-term capital services provided by commercial banks, co-operative banks, and other financial institutions.
  3. Retail Services: Retail services are given to customers for direct consumption.
  4. Wholesale Service: As the name suggests, this type of service is provided to corporate institutions which in turn convert these services into retail services to be given to the customers.
