2. Observing: A lot of emphasis is given to listening in coaching, but the fact of observing is neglected most of the time.

The emotional status and commitment level of any individual is greatly represented by the body language of that individual.

However, it is quite easy to avoid it when they are involved and focused on things related to their next course of action.

3. Listening: In order to differentiate between listening and passive listening, it is normally regarded as active listening, and it mainly deals with focusing on what others have to speak and being actively involved with them.

7. Checking: The most significant habit of any coach is checking what is happening, and there is a requirement of a lot of skills to decide when what, and how to check.

This can be seen as boring or obscure considering the energy and ideas pertaining to the coaching conversation.

However, if the regular checking is not done by the coach, there can be a loss of all the enthusiasm and creativity.
